Is Meta Ads Manager down? How to tell whether it is Meta or you
To find out whether Meta Ads Manager is down, open metastatus.com, Meta's own status page. It reports on Ads Manager, Meta Business Suite and the Ad Library separately, and shows either "No known issues" or a disruption with a time against it. If the page is clear and a tool is still not working or not loading, the cause is more likely on your side: Meta's help pages point to ad blockers, browser extensions and cached data.

Is Facebook Ads Manager down right now?
Check metastatus.com. It is Meta's own page, titled "Status and outages of Meta business products", and it carries a timestamp at the top showing when it last refreshed. When we read it on 13 October 2026, all 17 products on it showed "No known issues".
Each product name is a link to a page that splits it into parts, which matters because one part can have a problem while the others are fine.
| Tool you are using | Where it is on metastatus.com | Parts reported separately |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Ads Manager | Ads group, listed as Facebook Ads Manager | Ads Creation and Editing; Ads Delivery; Ads Reporting |
| Meta Business Suite | Business Tools group | Sharing and Content Management; Inbox; Ads Creation and Management |
| Meta Ad Library | Transparency Tools group, listed as Ads Transparency | Ad Library; Ad Library Report; Ad Library API; Branded Content |
The same page also lists the Marketing API, Messaging Ads, Catalog, Meta Audience Network, Instagram Boost, Facebook and Instagram Shops, Meta Admin Center, Facebook Login, the Graph API, the Messenger and WhatsApp Business platforms and Data Transparency. It covers business products only. It is not a status page for the Facebook or Instagram apps themselves.
What the status levels mean
The page has no legend, so this is a list of the labels it used on 13 October 2026, not Meta's definitions of them.
- No known issues. Opening the row on the Ads Manager status page shows Meta's one-line explanation: "The service is up and running with no known issues."
- Low, Medium or High disruptions. These three labels appear against the updates in past incidents. The page does not say what separates one from the next. The accompanying text is usually a sentence saying Meta is aware of an issue and its engineers are working on it.
- Resolved. The closing update of an incident, saying services have been restored.
Note the wording "no known issues". It means Meta has not posted a problem, which is not the same as a promise that everything works for every account.
Incident history and how to follow updates
Every product page has a View History link. The Ads Manager history was headed with a 90-day range, 15 July to 12 October 2026, but the list beneath it ran further back: 28 resolved entries, the oldest dated 16 October 2025 and the newest 23 September 2026. That newest entry concerned ad delivery, opened as "Medium disruptions" and was marked resolved under an hour and a half later. Times are shown with a GMT offset, so check which one your browser displays before comparing with your own clock.
History is useful after the fact. If your results dipped on a particular day, you can see whether Meta logged a delivery or reporting problem on that date before you start changing a campaign. Our post on the learning phase explains why unnecessary edits have a cost.
To follow updates, each product page links an RSS Feed next to View History, which you can add to a feed reader. We found no email or text sign-up on the status page itself. The Ads Manager feed held no entries when we opened it on a day with no incidents.
Is the Meta Ad Library down or not loading?
Look at the Ads Transparency status page, which is where Meta reports on the Ad Library, the Ad Library Report and the Ad Library API. All four parts showed no known issues on 13 October 2026. Its history listed six entries, and only one was for the Ad Library itself: an incident dated 4 March 2026, labelled "Medium disruptions" and resolved the same day. Two longer ones, in late March and early May 2026, affected the Ad Library Report.
If the status page is clear and the Ad Library still will not load, turn off your ad blocker first. Meta gives that advice in two places. Its Ad Library API page has a question on error 1357045, and answers that the error is usually associated with an ad blocker and that any ad blockers must be turned off to run API queries. That answer is about the API, not the public search page. Separately, Meta's general help article on ad blockers, covered below, says they can stop content loading across Facebook. Our Ad Library guide covers what to do once it is working.
Meta Ads Manager not working, not loading or slow: what to try
We did not find a Business Help Centre article about Ads Manager failing to load. The steps below come from Meta's Facebook Help Centre, which is written about Facebook in a browser generally. Ads Manager and Business Suite run in the same browser on the same site, so applying the advice to them is our inference, not Meta's wording.
- 01
Check the status page
If metastatus.com shows a disruption for the part you are using, wait. Nothing on your computer will fix it. - 02
Turn off your ad blocker for Meta's sites
Meta's article on ad blockers says one may stop Facebook working properly: it can block content from loading, cause visual glitches, stop features loading and slow Facebook down. This is the only cause of slowness we found Meta naming. - 03
Refresh, then close and reopen the page
These are the first two steps in Meta's general troubleshooting list for a computer. - 04
Clear your cache and temporary data
Meta's page on display problems says a cache or temporary data issue may be the cause, and that you clear it from your browser's settings. - 05
Disable other browser extensions
The same page says that if clearing the cache does not help, third-party extensions may be responsible, and recommends disabling them before trying again. - 06
Try a different browser, then restart
Meta suggests another browser, then restarting the computer. For Facebook it recommends the most up-to-date version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge. We found no separate browser list for Ads Manager.
Meta's troubleshooting list adds two other explanations for something not loading: a feature that is not yet available to everyone, and an account that has been blocked from an action. If you can open Ads Manager but cannot see your ad account, or you are stuck at a login or two-factor prompt, that is an access problem and not an outage. Our post on Ads Manager, Business Suite and business portfolios works through those checks.
Meta Ads Manager error codes, including error code 10
A numbered error is not an outage report. It usually describes one request that Meta refused.
People search for "error code 10". The only place we found Meta documenting that number is its Marketing API error reference, updated 5 October 2026, which lists code 10 as meaning the application does not have permission for the action. That reference describes errors returned to software that connects to the Marketing API. We found no Meta page explaining a code 10 shown inside the Ads Manager screens, so treat the permission reading as a lead, not a diagnosis. If you see it while using a connected tool, check what that tool has been granted.
For errors while editing, Meta has a help article on error 1860014 that lists the common causes, among them missing permissions on the Page, ad account or pixel, and ads created in Business Suite, which cannot be edited in Ads Manager.
Where Meta says to get support
- Business Support Home. Meta's page on phone support says advertisers can contact it through Business Support Home, and the Business Support Home article lists contacting support among the things you can do there.
- The Business Help Centre's Get support button. Opened without logging in, the Get support page shows common help topics and asks you to log in for personalised support. Meta's public pages do not say who is offered chat, so we cannot tell you whether your account will see it.
- Not by phone. The same phone support page says Meta has no general public customer service number and that numbers claiming to be Meta support are potentially scams.
Sites that collect user reports of outages exist, and a spike of complaints there can tell you other people are having trouble. It is not confirmation from Meta. Only the status page is.

Questions people ask
Is Meta Ads Manager down right now?
Check metastatus.com, Meta's own status page for its business products. It lists Facebook Ads Manager with separate rows for ads creation and editing, ads delivery and ads reporting, and shows either no known issues or a disruption with a time. On 13 October 2026 every product on it showed no known issues.
Is the Meta Ad Library down?
Meta reports on the Ad Library under Ads Transparency on metastatus.com, alongside the Ad Library Report and the Ad Library API. If that page shows no known issues and the Ad Library still will not load, turn off your ad blocker: Meta says ad blockers can stop content loading on Facebook, and its Ad Library API page says error 1357045 is usually associated with one.
Why is Facebook Ads Manager so slow or not loading?
We found no Meta page giving a reason specific to Ads Manager. Its Facebook Help Centre says an ad blocker can slow Facebook down and stop features loading, and that cached data or third-party browser extensions can cause display problems. Meta's suggested fixes are to turn off the ad blocker, clear the cache, disable extensions and try another up-to-date browser.
What does error code 10 mean in Meta Ads Manager?
Meta's Marketing API error reference lists code 10 as the application not having permission for the action. That page describes errors returned to software connected to the Marketing API. We found no Meta page explaining a code 10 shown inside the Ads Manager screens, so treat it as a likely permissions problem, not a confirmed one.
