Comparison
An AdSpy alternative for following the competitors you already know
AdSpy is a search engine over a very large database of Facebook and Instagram ads. It is built for finding ads you did not know existed, by keyword, comment or landing page. Mockingbird does a different job: you tell it who your competitors are, and it brings you their strongest new ads each day and rebuilds the ones you choose in your own brand.

What AdSpy is
AdSpy describes itself as the largest searchable database of Facebook and Instagram ads. Its site lists more than 212 million ads from over 30 million advertisers in 225 countries. You can search by ad text, URL, Page name and the comments under an ad, and filter by affiliate network, landing-page technology, audience demographics, reactions and how long an ad has run.
This description is taken from AdSpy's own website as it read on 7 October 2026.
What AdSpy offers that Mockingbird does not
- Search across all advertisers, not only the ones you have named.
- Search inside the comments people leave on ads.
- Filters for affiliate networks and offers, and for the technology behind a landing page.
- Filters for audience demographics and for reactions.
What Mockingbird does
You paste a competitor's Facebook Page once. Mockingbird reads their active ads from the Meta Ad Library, removes duplicates, and checks for new ones every day. Each ad is scored on public signals, such as how long it has run and how many versions exist, and the strongest arrive in a daily feed with a reason for each.
Pick an ad and Mockingbird rebuilds its layout and hook from your brand profile: colours, fonts, voice and product. The competitor's name, imagery and claims are not carried over. You download a finished image ad sized for feed and stories and upload it in Meta Ads Manager. See how it works or the examples.

Questions people ask
What is the difference between AdSpy and Mockingbird?
AdSpy is a search engine over a large database of Facebook and Instagram ads, for finding ads by keyword, comment or landing page. Mockingbird follows the specific competitors you name, ranks their new ads each day, and rebuilds the ones you choose in your own brand.
Does Mockingbird have a searchable ad database like AdSpy?
No. Mockingbird does not offer open search across all advertisers. You give it your competitors' Facebook Pages and it reads their ads from the Meta Ad Library daily. If you need to discover unknown advertisers by keyword, a database tool is the better fit.

On 7 October 2026 AdSpy's website listed a single price of 149 US dollars a month, which it described as an introductory offer. Prices change, so check AdSpy's own site. Mockingbird's current prices are on its pricing page.
