AI ad generator
An AI ad generator that starts from ads already running
Mockingbird generates Meta ads from a competitor's ad, not from a blank prompt. It reads the layout and hook of an ad your competitor keeps running, then rebuilds it with your brand's colours, voice and product. You get finished image ads sized for Facebook and Instagram, with the primary text and headline to go with them.

The problem with a blank prompt
Most ad generators ask you to describe the ad you want. That puts the hardest part of the job back on you: knowing what a good ad for your market looks like. The result is usually a tidy image with nothing behind it.
Mockingbird begins one step earlier. Its starting point is an ad a competitor has already paid to test in front of the customers you want. The structure is borrowed from something that has been kept running. The brand, product and words are yours.
How an ad is generated
- 01
Pick a source ad
Choose one from your daily drop of scored competitor ads, or paste a competitor's Page and start from what they are running now. - 02
The engine reads its structure
A vision model maps the ad: where the headline sits, the type hierarchy, the dominant image, the mood, and the angle of the hook. - 03
Your brand profile replaces theirs
Palette, fonts, logo, voice, product details and the words you never use all come from your brand profile. The competitor's name, product and claims are dropped. - 04
You compare the variants and keep the best
Each source ad produces a set of variants. Choose the one that looks most like you, or generate again. - 05
Download and launch
The ad exports as a finished image in feed and story sizes, with primary text and a headline. Upload it in Meta Ads Manager; the publishing guide has the steps.
What you control
- The brand profile. Voice, tone and example lines; palette, fonts and logo; prohibited words and claims. Change it once and every later variant follows.
- Editable or finished. Keep the headline, call to action, fonts and colours editable inside Mockingbird, or have the text set into the final image.
- The spend. Generation draws on your plan's credits, and you see the cost of a batch before you run it.
- The launch. Nothing reaches your ad account until you upload it yourself.
Blank-prompt generators compared with Mockingbird
| Blank-prompt generator | Mockingbird | |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | A text description you write. | A competitor ad that is already running. |
| Where the idea comes from | You. | The market: an ad a competitor has kept paying for. |
| Brand fit | Whatever you remember to put in the prompt. | A saved brand profile applied to every ad. |
| Output | An image. | An image in feed and story sizes, plus primary text and a headline. |
| What comes next | Find the next idea yourself. | A new drop of scored competitor ads each day. |
What it does not do
- It does not promise a winning ad. It gives you more credible ads to test, faster.
- It generates static image ads, not video.
- It does not publish to your Meta ad account or spend any budget.
- It does not copy a competitor's logo, product imagery or wording.
What it costs
Plans start at $29 a month. The 7-day trial is $9 and includes real generation with no watermark. See pricing.
Questions people ask
What is an AI ad generator?
An AI ad generator is software that produces ad creative, the image and the copy, from a short brief instead of a designer building each one by hand. Most start from a blank prompt. Mockingbird starts from a competitor ad that is already running, keeps its layout and hook, and rebuilds it with your brand's colours, voice and product.
Will the ads look like my brand?
They are built from your brand profile: palette, fonts, logo, voice, example lines, product details, and a list of words and claims you never use. Change the profile and every variant generated after that follows it.
Does Mockingbird copy the competitor's ad?
No. It reads the structure of the ad, such as the layout, the type hierarchy and the angle of the hook, and applies that structure to your brand. The competitor's name, product, claims, imagery and logo are not carried over.
What formats does it generate?
Static image ads sized for Meta feed and stories, with primary text and a headline alongside each image. You download the variant you want and upload it to Meta Ads Manager yourself.
Does it publish ads to my Meta account?
No. Mockingbird does not publish to your ad account and nothing spends automatically. You download the finished ad and launch it in Meta Ads Manager, where budget, audience and schedule stay under your control.
Try it on your own competitors.
$9 for 7 days. Paste a competitor's Page and see their best ad rebuilt for your brand.
