20 real competitor ads, and the ads rebuilt from them
Each pair below is a real ad from the Meta Ad Library next to the ad Mockingbird built from it. The layout and the hook carry over. The brand, the product and the words do not. The source ads are from BookSignal, Madgicx, AdCreative.ai, Asana, Grammarly, HubSpot, Smartly.io, Typeform, AdRoll and monday.com; every rebuilt ad was made for Mockingbird's own brand, using the same product our customers use.

How to read a pair
Look for what stayed the same: where the headline sits, how the image is divided, where the button is, the shape of the promise. That structure is what a competitor has paid to test. Then look at what changed: the name, the colours, the product and every word. The first is borrowed. The second is ours.

What this looks like for your brand
These were made for Mockingbird because that is the brand we can show without asking anyone's permission. For a customer the left-hand side is their competitors, and the right-hand side uses their brand profile: palette, fonts, logo, voice and product. The Nexlytics case study shows the same process for a different company, and how it works walks through each step.
Questions people ask
Are these real ads?
Yes. Each ad on the left is a real public ad taken from the Meta Ad Library. Each ad on the right is genuine Mockingbird output, made for Mockingbird's own brand with the same product customers use. Nothing on the page is a mockup.
Does Mockingbird copy the competitor's ad?
No. It carries over the structure: where the headline sits, how the image is divided, the angle of the hook. The brand name, logo, product, imagery and wording are replaced with yours. Comparing any pair on this page shows what stays and what goes.
Can I see examples for my own industry?
The pairs here come from software companies because Mockingbird is one. To see your own market, start the trial, paste a competitor's Facebook Page, and Mockingbird will show their current ads and rebuild the ones you pick in your brand.
Is it legal to base an ad on a competitor's ad?
Ideas, formats and layouts are free to learn from. A competitor's images, wording, logo and trademarks are protected and must not be reused. This is general information, not legal advice; ask a lawyer about anything specific to your market.
Try it on your own competitors.
