An AdStellar alternative for teams that only need the image ad

AdStellar describes itself as an AI media buyer for Meta: it makes image, video and UGC ads, builds campaigns, launches them and keeps adjusting them. Mockingbird does one part of that work and starts it somewhere else: it watches the competitors you name every day, ranks their ads, and rebuilds the one you pick as an image ad. You launch it yourself. One runs your account. The other feeds it.

What AdStellar is

AdStellar's site calls it "an AI Meta ads platform" that creates image, video and UGC avatar ads, builds complete campaigns from your past performance data, launches them to Meta and optimises them around the clock. It lists an Ad Clone feature that works from ads in the Meta Ad Library, analytics that sync from your ad account every hour, automation rules, a Slack agent and an MCP server. There is one plan, priced by monthly AI credits.

This description is taken from AdStellar's own website as it read on 9 October 2026.

What AdStellar offers that Mockingbird does not

  • Video ads and UGC-style avatar ads, with a video editor.
  • Campaign building and launch into your Meta ad account, including bulk launches.
  • Ongoing optimisation of live ads: rules that pause or scale, and alerts.
  • Analytics on your own account, synced hourly.
  • Unlimited team members, workspaces and ad accounts on its one plan, and a free 7-day trial.

What Mockingbird does

You paste a competitor's Facebook Page once. Mockingbird reads their active ads from the Meta Ad Library, removes duplicates, and checks for new ones every day. Each ad is scored on public signals, such as how long it has run and how many versions exist, and the strongest arrive in a daily feed with a reason for each.

Pick an ad and Mockingbird rebuilds its layout and hook from your brand profile: colours, fonts, voice and product. The competitor's name, imagery and claims are not carried over. You download a finished image ad sized for feed and stories and upload it in Meta Ads Manager. See how it works or the examples.

Which one to choose

Choose AdStellar if:

  • You want one tool to build, launch and manage campaigns, not only make the creative.
  • You need video or UGC-style ads.
  • You spend enough on Meta that automated budget and pause rules pay for themselves.
  • You have many seats or client ad accounts and want no per-seat fee.

Choose Mockingbird if:

  • You want to know what your competitors launched this week without searching for it.
  • You run image ads and prefer to launch and budget them yourself.
  • You want a lower starting price for a small account.

The two are not exclusive. Some teams research in one tool and produce in another.
